What does the college campus have to do with YOU?

The answer is, everything! It seems like our first ministry blog post should be about something dramatic and awesome. But what we really want it to be about is you, the reader! Not that you aren't awesome in your own right, and you're probably even dramatic (at times). As the reader, you obviously care enough about the movement of the Kingdom of God on the college campuses in San Diego to take the time to read (and hopefully follow) this blog. Sarah and I care deeply for God to come and transform the lives of college students, renew the the structures and systems of the university, and to develop those students to go out and change the world with the Good News of the awesome power and love of Jesus. Combined we have over 15 years of ministry to the universities in San Diego!

So, how does that involve you? Simple, we can't do anything without you! Out of any group of 100 high school students involved in church youth groups, only 30 will still be involved with a church by the time they graduate college. Most will never return to church... There are thousands of students in classes right now, that have never heard that God loves them! If you graduate from a university you are in the top 1% of the WHOLE world in terms of education and opportunity! These student will shape the face of the emerging global community! What we are trying to communicate in some simple statistics is this ministry is bigger and more important than any one of us. We need people to come alongside us in prayer, fasting and petitioning God for a mighty work and revival on the college campuses!

Well, I hope that was dramatic enough for you. I have more statistics and more reasons I could list, but I won't. Sarah and I are asking you to pray, stay updated and follow this blog. You'll get to hear stories of God doing amazing things, and not just from us. As you read this, we are getting students to write down their own stories to share with you, in hopes of encouraging and blessing you!

Grace and Peace. Bj
